Dreams can Help and also be Misinterpreted

The other day I watched a video and I was determining if I should post it or not.

During the evening I had a dream that seemed to confirm the video. When I woke up that night I thought about it a bit. I decided to pray to God asking to confirm if the dream was from him.

The next dream was a clear confirmation that the video was not accurate even though it sounded really good.

There's a couple of reasons why I wanted to write about this and its something I've been thinking, and why I think the first dream happened the way it did.

  • Allot of people have dreams claiming it was from God. In these times I really believe to test the spirit as in 1 John 4:1 for truth.
  • I don't think we interpret a majority of dreams correctly. It makes me think about the dream Joseph interpreted for the baker in Genesis 40:1-23 and if I could have interpreted it.
  • Not everyone is given the ability to interpret dreams. These are gifts from God as in 1 Peter 4:10-11.

I feel that most dreams are not literal and need interpreting.
John Paul Jackson at Stream Ministries felt the same way.
Do you feel your dreams need interpreting?
