  1. Fearmongering or Warnings With so much sensationalism on the internet are Christian warnings about the future just fearmongering or is there something else happening? I think it's a legitimate question and one that needs to be asked so we do not create unreasonable fear in our community. Two Different Realities For myself and fellow Christians we operate in what might be termed two different realities. One is a spiritual reality and the other being a physical reality. The spiritual aspect is the one people have a hard time dealing with because at times it can be unseen. What is Prophecy Christians believe the Bible is the word of God spoken through prophets over several thousand years with more than 25% being prophecy. With approximately 1,800 prophetic verses out of 8,300 Bible verses Christians believe it is proven beyond doubt that only God knows the future. Identifying Time Lines In the Bible there are several books that pertains to the current times we live in. Those books have verses with explicit warnings when you see these things occurring you will know that the time is near. What Generation Are We These several verses are very important because the Fig Tree is Israel Hosea 9:10 and it says this Generation will not pass away until these things take place. Israel became a nation Isaiah 66:7-8 on May 14, 1948 history.state.gov. In this context a generation is talking about the average life span of a person and we use Psalm 90:10 to identify the span, it's around 70 to 80 years. You can do the math from 1948 till now. Matthew 24:32-34 (32) “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. (33) So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. (34) Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. In 2 Thessalonians 2:3 it warns about a rebellion coming first. The rebellion are the people that reject God. Does anyone think we are become more divided than ever? 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 (3) Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, (4) who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. There's no time in human history that we've been able to control the ability to buy or sell with some type of mark (known as the Mark of the Beast), until now. Revelation 13:16-17 (16) Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, (17) so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. Time is getting short, will you heed the Signs and Warnings?
